Our Goal

main image

On this site we are working on the population reconstruction of Baarle-Nassau/Hertog and surrounding places. We started with Baarle-Nassau, of which in the meantime all civil status data since 1811 are complete including the corresponding certificates. After this we will work on Baarle-Hertog and surrounding places. For each place added to this reconstruction a complete overview will be created of all births, marriages and deaths including the corresponding certificates so that data can be verified with the source data.

In making these overviews we use information that is available in the various archives such as certificates of the Registry of Births, Deaths, Marriages and Cemeteries. In addition to the information of individuals, this site also provides an insight into relationships and families. The information is compiled with the greatest care. However, there may be errors or imperfections that we would like to correct. If you have any additional information or questions, please send it to us using the contact form or email address. The General Data Protection Regulation states that personal data may only be disclosed after the following periods:
    -Birth data after 100 years
    -Marriage data after 75 years
    -Death data after 50 years

This means that when consulting this site you will not encounter any living persons or persons who do not meet the above criteria.
